I have an update. I wanted to upgrade my speed to 100/100 but it was no available to me as it was not cost productive for Verizon to come out and switch me over. The rep I had on the phone upgraded me to 300/300 to initiate the truck roll and would then lower me back to 100/100 a week later. The tech came out, switched me over from BPON to GPON and the picture is now back to being as crisp as it was with my legacy boxes. I would check and see if you are on BPON and if you are consider doing what I did. If they didn't run an ethernet cable from the ONT to your router for data then you are on BPON. If you are on ethernet you may still be on BPON but you can only find out if you look at the model number of the ONT and do some googling.
