It occurred on my machine for a bit after the last VMS update.  Promotions was off.  Note i turned promotion on and then from the home screen turned it off again, and it seems to now remain off.

Not sure if the specific changes you mentioned were changed, but recent updates, particularly to the Quantum TV boxes, have changed some key behavior.

When the home screen showed up on one of my pics, I used the options button to disable.I was asked if I wanted to do that on all boxes.I said yes.Appears to have worked on all.

Multiple recordings

My STB has DVR and DVR1. All recordings made on DVR1 are copied to DVR. How do I stop that?ThanksFrank C

Not sure what you mean by that?Do you have 2 DVRs and are seeing recordings on both of them from a 3rd box?What model DVR/STBs do you have?If you have old style DVRs, then yes recordings can be set up...

Thanks to all for suggestions.  I had in fact tried all the suggestions prior to posting. As of today, the appearance of the FIOS TV Home Screen has stopped. Hopefully it is resolved.

Without a box you will only recieve the local channels (with the exception of when a channel like HBO, Starz, etc. runs a free preview weekend and the channel is then sent clear for the preview).
