For now, no.
Not sure exaclty why (maybe for traffic control) verizon will connect to the STBs via a separate network.
The options for mins are Verizon Wifi, ethernet or coax.

I don't understand your setup.
Are you only using FiOS router?
If you are using a separate router for wifi, it shows up as a separate subnet and can't connect to DVR.
You could try putting router in access point mode and that should correct the issue.
VMS4100 and IPC4100. it happens about 10-15 before a show ends. The closing credit will start, but the show is still going. On Hulu and other streaming sites, you'll get a 'next" pop up when the credits start. Fios just screwed up and put the "more like this" too early.
I was wrong. All I can do with most major networks is record. I cannot watch live tv from most major networks.
done it, ditto
I have the same issue, it started when I upgraded my box to Fios TV One. I spent an hour on the phone with customer support, they resest everything, blah, blah, blah. It didn't fix it. They said they had to work on it offline. I got a text message today saying it was fixed. I tried it and Netflix still won't work. Total **bleep**.
That is usually at the request of your local station.
they have to agree to allow streaming.
I have the same type of problem with my 2 Avera TV’s
I can program the remote to control the channels through the Verizon box
- but the volume button changes the actual Avera TV channel, so you lose the connection to your cable
Recently upgraded to FIOS One Box for my five TV's. (The small black box). Almost immediately the video starts to distort on all or most of the screens. I exhanged what I thought was the problem box only to have the other screens acting out. I have tried the Dash fix-it process to no avial. It comes and goes at it's liesure but is very annoying. Anyone deal with this issue?
What does this mean? What do you do if/when you set up as an access point?... I have the exact same question. I have a Google WiFi network that all of my devices connect to, but I can't get the verizon set top box to connect to anything other than the verizon router.
I do not want the new offer because it does not include HBO or SHO and after I pay to add them back the package would cost me $10/mo more than my current plan. I don't really care about an extra 25mbps and I cetainly don't want to pay Verizon a $149 "installation" fee for it. I already have a Netflix account and after the $149 "installation" fee the overall "savings" would be only $42.88. That savings would get eaten up by the extra $10/mo in four months leaving me to pay an additional $80/yr in excess of my current bill. So, I did nothing and as I expected, my monthly package went up $10 but it is still less than taking the new package and paying yet another fee for HBO & SHO.
But what I want to know is why On Demand and YouTube no longer load. There are quite a few shows that I miss in live time and I have been using On Demand a lot for a few years now. Suddenly it's just "loading" but never gets loaded. Interestinhg that it seems to coincide with the expiration of my old contract. Getting ready to bite the bullet and call customer service, let's hope I get someone who actually knows what they're doing!
One thing to try is to make sure that all of the coax connections are tight.
Start at ONT and work to VMS.
Unfortunately, these types of "universal" remotes don't always accomodate every TV.
You may have to go with something like a Harmony remote that can get software updates to support additional equipment.
Couple of comments:
1) If you already have a Netflix account, they will extend your account for the length of time promised in your offer.
2) As far as I know, letting your contract lapse should not affect your service.
3) BTW, may want to watch bill as once your contract expires, you may very well lose some discounts you had while under contract causing your bill to increase.
Have you tried reboot router and STBs?
If that doesn't work, I would try contactin support on twitter @verizonsupport.
Not quite real time (at first anyway) but they are pretty responsive. And can initiate a chat if needed to support you.
I am not sure about google wifi, but check the subnet of devices vs stb.
Most likely, they are different.
Try searching to see if you can use google wifi in access point mode.
That will all all of your devices to be on the same subnet and then allow them to talk.
I have two DVRs each in a separate room. Issue 1: When watch show in the room where DVR #1 is located, the show will jump 2-3 minutes to the end of the show immediately following FF through commercials. I stop the FF just as the commercial ends, but the DVR proceeds to the end of the show without me being able to view it. I then have to FF all the way through the show and watch the last series of commercials be able to see the end of the show. I have two DVRs. Technicians tell me the speed in the cables insie the house as adequate. Please help;
I have had the same problem. Each time we have to get a new STB and it is good for a while then the channels just start showing up. Verizon's solution is a new box.
Currently the only way to access the ability to program a separate audio receiver or sound bar is to manually program the remote to the TV first, and then the audio system option appears. Please follow the on-screen instructions to complete the programming setup.
Upon successfully programming the remote to the TV, the user is presented with the audio option:
Is your Fios TV One or Mini connected through an audio receiver or sound bar? > Yes > Select your receiver brand > Set up your (brand) receiver > Press OK to test > Did it work?
▶ Yes, it worked (successfully programmed)
▶ I can't find my TV's model number
▶ Enter model number
Howdy - I recently replaced my boxes with TV One boxes... got a dvr box, and two of the minis. One of the minis is in my living room, the dvr is in my master bedroom. I've confirmed in setting what their name are... "Living Romm" and "Master Bedroom".
In the remote section of the Fios TV iphone app they're just named "SELF-INSTALL" so I can't tell which is which. Anyone know how to get the app to recognize the box names?
I've tried the refresh option in each box's settings.
What exactly are you seeing? Aspect ratio distortion, pixelation, incorrect color? Describe the issue better please.
