I haven't seen the problem but some have said it only occurs when you run low on disc space.  If so try making sure you pick what to delete before you run out.

The newer quantum boxes require a better signal. If you have problems even with your VMS, I would start checking the coax connections at your not. Make sure they are tight. Could also be the splitter.

Try rebooting the box.If that doesn't help, then the router.Can also try going out a few days on guide to cause it to load guide data.
