Favorites Listing
Somrting calaled "newsy" has appeared on my Favorites listiing. I did not put it there. How do I get rid of it? It won't go awayi the usual way via options.

Program Information not Available
The Guide is not available for all 3 TV's . It says Program Information not Available for all channels. I have no access to DVR service , etc either.
i tried to reboot but troubleshooter says my set top box is not connected and I'm not connected to network.
Everything is connected correctly for all TV's.

Fios TV One and Orbi Mesh Network
The picture quality from one of my Fios TV ONE Mini STB's is horrible... constantly freezing and skipping. It says the WiFi signal is "Fair." I use the Orbi mesh network in my house, so is it possible to have the STB pull the signal from the Orbi and not the Fios Quantum router? The STB is only about 30 feet from the Quantum router, but I'm guessing because the signal must pass through several rooms and walls it is getting quite deteriorated. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Today (03/28/2019), I spent over an hour on the phone with a FiOS agent! I have the same issue with the main DVR + 3 STB's, all the newer FiOS ONE upgrade boxes. He had me running between devices including the router, bottom line... a Verizon tech is making a home visit this Sunday. Glad to see someone else. I am going to print your post and tape it to my forehead when the tech arrives! I am so {word filter avoidance} at the attitude and disrespect they showed to me like I was some bottom feeding pond scum with no technical IQ.

I've had the same problem for years. First Favorites 2 behaved badly. I was able to recover it a few times by deleting everything and resetting the box; but that stopped working last year. Favorites 2 would randomly add hundreds of stations and delete them w/o any pattern that I can see. In the last month, it has stayed empty. A good sign, but I don't dare use it. Once I gave up on Favorites 2, Favorites 1 started to have issues. It likes to add station 363, sometimes 362, 310 and a few others like 819. Lately, they appear in the guide, but not when I channel flip or in settings. I've found in the last 3 weeks I've found that there are several stations that can't be added by any method. Oddly, it's 362, 363 and 613. I had 613 on Favorites 1 and it just dropped off 1 day. I can get the station, but it can't be a favorite (1 or 2).
I associate this issue with changes in the Verizon line-up of stations. Everytime Verizon is adding or deleting a station, the Favorites Virus blows up.
This problem seems to be an an issue with the way the programming uses the memory location where Favorites are stored. Different parts of the programs read and write to the area in different ways. Should be easy to identify and fix, but Verizon has been letting this one continue for at least 11 years. Maybe some of the changes I've seen in the last weeks is an indication that someone will fix this.

OK, i figured out how to turn off the annoying posters in the screen saver and the screen saver has a "black" background now. Does anyone know how to get a truen black screensaver not one that has the brightness all the way up?

On Demand play gets cutoff and next episode starts prematurely
I'm trying to watch Game of Thrones on HBO On Demand (which is a channel I pay for). And I enjoy the extra feature at the end of each episode. But it keeps getting cutoff when I play the episode because the next episode wants to start early. Is there any way to prevent this from happening, or is this a bug in your software? It's VERY annoying.

fios voice command on remote
I just upgrade verizon fios, got new boxes and remotes. I think I got a problem with the voice command on remote. I was in one room and changed channel using voice command. And my wife came out of her room she said her tv was acting up.
She said she had on a channel and it changed to cnn. That is the channel in the other room I told the voice command to go to. Is he tv box picking it up the signal from the other room if so what can be done about it

Voice remotes use bluetooth.
So it should be seeing a signal from another remote.
A remote has to be sync'd to each STB.
Is it possible that the remote in the room she was in heard your voice and acted as well?

Beware if you upgrade to the new FIOS ONE boxes
I upgraded to the the FIOS ONE boxes and totally regret it - the only positive thing is the boxes are small and the mini’s connect wireless. I have had nothing but problems whenever I switch from my SONY Bravia apps back to TV - it can’t find the signal and I end up having to unplug the box which is the DVR box so it screws all the other TV’s in the house, then sometimes that doesn’t fix it so I have to change the HDMI plug input and also uplug the TV I also found that when I hit pause on the TV that has the DVR box it pauses other TV’s even if they aren’t on the same channel and those TV’s freeze and have to have the box unplugged to get them back to normal.
I also had the problem of my TV freezing for a few seconds and loosing sound, I did contact tech support and they did something on their end which worked for a few days.
I am at the point where I will be switching providers as soon as my stupid contract is over in 6 months. I am done with Verizon
Beware if you upgrade - its nothing but a nightmare and I’m sorry I did!!!
If anyone has any ideas why all this is happening I’d love to hear ........

Same first impression: picture quality is very noticeably sharper - I have a newer Samsung 4K model which already looked great when I switched to fios from Spectrum and this was so noticeably better than even that, that my 13 year old daughter noticed it without even knowing it was a feature (no placebo effect lol). I also detect better sound processing on my audio equipment.
The remote itself is also a nice upgrade. They’ve simplified it. Echoing another comment, the only thing it lacks is a DVR button but it’s easy just to press the mic button and say “DVR” and it instantly pulls up the DVR (or go via menu). The remote is lighter, much more ergonomic, and lights up just bright enough to see in a dark room but not wake up anybody sleeping nearby.
Also, addressing another post, it DOES control tv and sep audio components. There are pretty straightforward instructions within the menu under voice control-voice remote. It can auto-detect the TV model via HDMI, or you can manually set up if you have audio components and even the manual setup is far easier than the old code-entering method (it’s all automated and keeps testing until you hit the mark, narrowed by brand). It even was able to connect to my 12 year old, out of production B&K components home theater receiver - a rarity in multi-function remotes. And easily connected to my Samsung sound bar in another room.
Big thumbs up from this tech lover. Highly recommend. Easy as can be to set up- uses identical power and cables from last boxes so you don’t even need to use the ones they deliver. And they send a return shipping label making the whole process easy. I don’t mind the 50 bucks one time fee. Just an opinion... pretty cheap upgrade considering no increase in monthly bill for a substantially upgraded experience.
